Do you realize that if the Iowa City Schools are cancelled, I instantly lose 2/3 of what I'm supposed to do tomorrow? Well, it's true. But there's plenty else I could be doing instead. Like mailing sunglasses back.....Dangit!
Song of the Day: Do You Realize? by The Flaming Lips
Here's one of those songs that I can here in public that will make me change my pace and snap my fingers. I think I've heard it in too many movie montages...
Potentially looking for a job on a cruise ship...travel the world (or some small part of it), meet some really interesting people, and make some money while i'm at it. This is me at work, also, my feet.
Song of the day: An Atlas to Follow by: Wild Sweet Orange
It seems like every time I walk around town I notice something new. Here is a cool old converted firehouse sitting right between two nondescript buildings. If you look carefully, it kinda looks like a three-eyed monster face too. Neato.
Stop and look at the beautiful pine tree. (Like stop and smell the roses. I didn't smell the pine tree otherwise I would have told you to do that. Just look at it, it's sweet.)
Ok, maybe he's more of a slush-man, but at least he has a pine mustache. Also, he somehow ended up looking Kermit-esque - unintentional but kinda awesome.
And the song of the day is Take A Chance by The Magic Numbers.
Remember those days when you came in the house as a kid and your mittens were soaking wet from playing out in the snow, building snowmen and igloos with your moms bread pans? Today was one of those days. Build a snowman, it's good for your health. Picture below: freezing rain on the window when I woke up this morning, almost pleasant until I saw that my car was also covered in ice. I had a great weekend with Hannah and made it safely home to Iowa City this morning, so all is well.
Song of the day: Neighborhood #1 (tunnels) by: Arcade Fire ....lovely song
Greatest garage sale find ever. I only wish I didn't live in an apartment so I could learn all over again without getting the stinkeye from my neighbors.
And we're kickin' this song old school, with my very first love, ACE OF BASE. Later....my sister would throw out my Ace of Base tape on account of being sick of hearing it. I will assure you I still know all the words. Listen and dance if you feel it: http://listen.grooveshark.com/s/Young+And+Proud/1VDz3V
